Mandarin Museum & Historical Society
Located in the 10-acre, wooded Water Jones Historical Park in the heart of historic Mandarin. Includes Mandarin Museum with exhibits related to the famous Civil War steamship Maple Leaf, Harriet Beecher Stowe, Mandarin history and Mandarin artists. A stroll through the park will give you views of a historic homestead, the 1876 barn, a mid 20th century sawmill, a boardwalk along the St. Johns River, and a 1898 one-room schoolhouse. Benches and picnic tables are available throughout the park.
Mandarin Museum is open every Wednesday – Saturday, 10 am to 4 pm. Guided tours of Walter Jones Historical Park and its historic buildings are available during our operating hours for a suggested donation of $7 per guest. Please check-in at Museum Guest Services to inquire about a tour.
The first Saturday of every month, 10 am – 2 pm, all historic buildings are open with docents inside and admission is free.
